Kings Cafe Orakei - Auckland Central

Came in with friends for lunch today. Saw the scones and was craving it right away. Ordered the date scone, bacon eggs benedict and the monte cristo. The date scone was the best one I've ever tried. It looked aesthetically pleasing as well. The dates were all in the middle, placed between two slabs of scone. Scone was the perfect texture. Egg benedict was partially runny. Some of the yolk was actually cooked inside. Monte cristo was delicious. Toast was crispy and perfect with the melted cheese.

Great food and lovely environment. I ordered the Orakei egg Benedict, and love the crispy potato! All my friends enjoyed our food, the date scone was delicious too. I definitely recommend and will try more foods next time!

A hidden Auckland Gem, tucked away in the Kings Garden Centre in Orakei bay village it has a great modern vibe with a funky interior! The service is fast friendly and always with a smile! I have been here several times and always a great experience with delicious food! Everything on the menu sounds tantalising and tastes just as good!

I don’t usually write reviews, but our brunch/lunch on Monday was exceptional. Fantastic service, fabulous food, very generous portions and an awesome kids area. Looking forward to going back again.<br/

This place has become our go to place, the food is amazing staff are great.. the manager is very kind and always makes sure you have everything you need. The coffee is great.. and it’s easy parking! Great place to come for coffee group meetings, it’s family friendly and also it’s a great place to catch up with friends over coffee and one of the yummy treats in the cabinet.
