If you have not tried this yet, and Rocomammas is open, then stop reading this immediately and get yourself over there.<br/ <br/ If Rocomammas is closed...sorry. Tomorrow then.<br/ <br/ PS. This burger is spicy.<br/ And freakin awesome.<br/ <br/ PPS. This is apparently a limited edition. Don't worry. I'm hoping to start some sort of petition if it goes off the menu. Watch this space.
This is Another HALAAL Branch of Rocomamas *management should update this platform and change their status to Halaal).<br/ <br/ And some 8 months ago...I did vow to return to Rocomamas, 'as their Freak Shakes had my name on it '.. Well I DID return. And I most definitely ordered the freak shake this time. It was the 'Slow Death By Chocolate ' that caught my fancy. A Messy Look indeed...but oh so heavenly.<br/ This chocolatey freak shake is super loaded with different types of choccie delights, like oreos, whispers/maltese, a wafer chocolate and what tasted like fererro chocolates...all blended into a magically decadant shake, liberally drizzled with dark belgian chocolate outside, and a milk chocolate coating the inner of the glass.<br/ I quite like the fact that each of the drinks now come with a biodegradable straw. So whilst my hubby got the Strawberry Daiquiri this time, we both ended up enjoying this Freak shake with each sip giving you a mouth full of chocolate bits. #Yummmm.<br/ <br/ This branch of Rocomamas is spacious and has lovely open spaces, which doesn 't make you feel like you sitting on top of other customers. The staff were very friendly and efficient, we we were seated immediately, and we pleased with the tables across the shop front. I did also be a little adventurous yet again, and ordered the Tikka Burger, which came in a RED BUN. The chicken tikka fillets were mild, which was fine by me, but you could taste the distinctive tikka seasoning in it. Perfectly cooked, the fillets were tender and succulent, smothered in a mayo sauce and topped with mint sauce. Pickles and ooey gooey cheese finished this burger off on buns that were soft and fresh. An overall enjoyable lunch experience.<br/ <br/ Keep on being awesome Rocomamas.
The advert for the tikka burger caught my attention and I had to try it. The burger was really tasty (the chicken was soft and succulent). The only thing I would exclude is the cheese. Unfortunately the tikka burger is only available at Rocomamas Sandton City and Melrose Arch. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.
The new Rocomammas in Sandton is just great. Not only because of the food, but because of the service. The waiters have the biggest smiles and really explained the menu well to us. I am a RocoMamas regular, but my friend was new to this popular burger joint, but he loved it. A few friends and myself went to the newly opened RocoMamas for a fun night out.<br/ <br/ We were really torn with starters, so we decided to have them all...lol... In my opinion, RocoMamas make the best chili cheese bombs. So we naturally had these tasty cheesy balls of goodness. We then had the three different types of nachos (chicken, beef and plain). I must be honest, their portions are a lot bigger and they were incredibly generous with their guacamole and salsa. I hate having to fight over that last piece of avo. We also had the BBQ wings.<br/ <br/ For mains we all had the macon, avo smash burger. Some of us added toppings, but I kept mine as is. The buns were nice and fresh.<br/ <br/ I had an iced coffee shake... okay, I lie, I had two. Probably one of the best oce cream coffees I've had. My friend had a no-jito.<br/ <br/ Overall, we had a great night out. Convenient and cosy. Tasty and good service.
