Cute lil place from the beaten path. We came when they approached, but the hostess encouraged us to stay. We just ordered an appetizer a flourishing onion dish. It was just okay. Well presented. Diving sauce was terrible. But the menu looked pretty good and we will try again. Service was slow, but again, they were closed for the day so no hard feelings.
I liked this place. I had to use my GPS to find it, but it was worth it. The parking lot and the outside are in the large interior. The interior is rich wood and beautifully decorated. The rear windows see lush forests and a fantastic outdoor seating area. The staff is friendly and attentive. You know the menu and are helpful with descriptions and recommendations. Good part. The food was very good. My wife had crabcakes and I had shrimps and grits. Both were excellent. After the tasting of food, we looked forward to seeing each other's plates. Prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest place, but it is worth everything that is included in the experience. Everything in all is worth the journey of Aiken. We'll be back. I highly recommend this place.
At first glance, we thought, oh boy... what are we coming in here? But we were pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent. Everything tasted wonderfully unique. The staff was extremely human. Our waitress (Stephanie S. was the best we had since I can't remember. This will be DEFINITELY on the list of one of our favorite places when we 're in Augusta. The only negative thing I can say is that they must seriously improve the toilets. Shower curtains do not separate the stands leaves much privacy? But I think it is in line with the Jamaican theme.
Food was good, service was awful. Sat at the table for 10 minutes before even being greeted or drinks taken. Then sat with empty glasses majority of the time we were there and when my husband got up from the table for a few minutes the waiter came to refill his glass and said he sure is thirsty in a very condescending way. Appetizer was lukewarm upon arriving at our table. I ate my entire entree without a drink. Atmosphere was great, prices very reasonable.
