I can't quite explain why this is the case, but it's always comforting to visit a bar where you pretty much know what beers are available and what the food menu looks like. John Sullivan is a prime example of this. Some might argue that it’s just like any other Irish pub, following a familiar formula, but I'm thankful for it. John Sullivan deserves recognition for its charm. It's an ideal spot to unwind after a visit to the VA, and I believe if I lived in or around Augusta, I'd be a regular there. If you're a fan of Irish pubs, this place is a must-visit; and even if you're not, I recommend giving it a shot.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasantly uncrowded during my visit, and it’s very family-friendly. The live music added a wonderful touch!
The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The waitress was polite, even on a busy night. I dined alone, and the food was excellent. The live music was a perfect addition to the evening. A shoutout to John Hasnip!
Unique feeling for this cozy Irish pub in downtown Augusta. Great pommes and poutins. Good selection of whiskeys and beer on Hahn. Depending on time, waiting can be a bit long to get a table and/or food. Good service!
Food was phenomenal and drinks were equally fantastic. You really get a taste of Ireland in this place, from the Irish Folk Singers to the Irish themed food and drink. Right down to the decor you can tell they care.
