Sogneporten - Aurland

The only place to eat in winter, and it wasn't bad at all.

The food was decent, there was a dart tournament while we were there, so the conversation was good!

It's not expensive, but not worth money. All the staff wants to close the day. The food is industrial food, averaged. The chips/ions were very hard, the food had a taste of old oil. The staff was very rude for a cousin who, after the decision to close, would want order food. The toilets were not very clean and the floors were dusty

The pizza was huge, it was enough for 2 people, but I didn't know in advance, so I got a few for dinner. Nice staff that is helpful

Sognaporten is most definitely the best wayside restaurant in this country, better than any in England, Germany and Holland I have experienced in a long life. The food is fantastic, the food is locally produced from local farms, and the service is rapid. It is worth the visit if you are anywhere near Sognefjord.
