Rifugio Bosi - AURONZO DI CADORE

We stopped by for coffee and cakes... a very nice girl served us and invited us to sit at one the table. Once we set there, an extremely rude man came over and told us that since we were only going to have coffee and cake we had to move to a different table as the one we were sitting at had been already cleaned. We ended up sitting at a dirty table. Great service.

We had planned to eat lunch here during a trip to Monte Piano. However, on arriving we asked if our two children could use the bathroom and were told it would cost 3 euros. I'm happy to donate a euro to use the facilities if I'm not a customer (as I have at other Rifugios) but when the staff member asked for this amount we left and decided not to come back getting lunch in Misurina instead.

Last refuge in a three night trip. we got there from Rif Lavaredo which is right next to Tre Cime, went down Val Rinbon (down 1000m, what a stupid thing to do then up Val Rinbianco a little way and up the very steep climb to Monte Piana, looked at WW1 fortifications and made our weary way to Rif. Bosi. Speaking German was very helpful here, and it made our stay easier as the owner didn't speak any English at all (why would he? . Food good, bit basic maybe, but very tasty. Room very comfortable (slept 4 and breakfast good also. Shower a bit expensive but nice and warm. Walk down the steep hill was a killer, our legs had packed up (the 1000m down, and then steep, madly quick ascent up 1000m was too much for our legs, will know better next time Virtually nobody else here, everyone comes here for lunch but not many people stay. Why not try it if you want a quiet refuge? Very pleasant and relaxing.

Dal lago di Misurina si arriva al rifugio con la seggiovia o camminando su un sentiero non impegnativo nei boschi. l'unica vista che si gode dalla sala da pranzo e la bontà degli gnomi sono il viaggio. anche ottimi dolci fatti in casa.

Siamo entrati in questo accogliente rifugio in una giornata piovosa. Purtroppo il posto era pieno e abbiamo dovuto accontentarci di un panino che comunque era molto buono. Lo strudel eccezionale! il personale era molto gentile e disponibile. carino il piccolo museo storico che si trova all'interno.
