Pomodoro Pizza Pasta Llc - Aurora

We drive by this restaurant every weekday and finally decided to give it a try. This is our new go-to spot. The service was friendly and the food was so good! I can't express how good it feels to have a local spot that we can dine at with such a great feel. Thank you so much for all that you do! I can tell the staff culture in the restaurant is healthy. I can also say that I'll be needing to exercise more because I'm full now and still want to eat more. Yes!

I recently ordered the chicken and shrimp scampi as a takeout order which is one of the pricier entrees at $25. The employees I had very little interaction with although they certainly were polite and pleasant. Upon my arrival home, I was fairly disappointed with the portions I was given for that price. I had two pieces of chicken that were barely the length and width of a Pop Tart, three pieces of shrimp, three broccoli florets, maybe three generous forkfulls of linguini as well as a few garlic knots. All tasted fine but the entree rivaled an expensive appetizer....I wasn't in the least bit full after the meal and actually had to make something else on top of it an hour later. Profit margins with food are some of the absolute best in the business world and I cannot for the life of me understand why a restaurant wouldn't make sure a customer is generously compensated for their business. I'm certainly not out to admonish anyone but I expected better for my first dining experience at this venue and needless to say, I was disappointed.

Excellent food and taste. No doubt!However, the service was 1/10. The server was serving the next table to us and found out that was her husband, and son. The husband was constantly requiring attention of our waitress (and his wife), and we had to literally call her again and again to get us menus, napkins, additional food and dessert. Later on, husband and wife (our waitress) both ate dinner together while we were eating too. She was the only waitress in the entire restaurant, and was mostly occupied with her husband.Given I loved the food, I will only order to-go. I am not sure if she is habitually doing that in the restaurant or only when her husband comes, eat or work there. But it was odd how he was just keeping her to herself and not letting her work.

I really wanted to love this place. I did order late night, but the pizza just wasn't cooked through (dough was soggy, vegetables weren't cooked). The flavor on the pizza was good, but it was missing the garlic too. The pasta was covered in oil, making it almost inedible, which eventually led to throwing it away. The bread with the pasta was hard as a rock the next day. Unfortunate but better pizza and pasta joints around the denver area.
