Winchell's - Aurora

My son opted for donuts instead of a birthday cake. With both vegan and non-vegan family members, we were disappointed that Winchell's did not have any vegan donut options available. However, they assured us that a vegan option would be coming soon. In the meantime, we decided to go ahead with ordering their birthday donuts - the Casey 12' - and I made some vegan cake donuts to complement them. The birthday donuts were absolutely delicious, and the ordering process over the phone was easy. Pickup was a breeze, and we were very satisfied with our experience. I am excited for the future availability of vegan options at Winchell's so that I can treat my guests to a variety of vegan donuts that everyone can enjoy together. The donut and cinnamon roll I purchased were fresh and delicious. The dough had a slightly chewy texture, which I personally enjoy in yeast-raised donuts. The glazing on the donut was just right, not overpowering, and stayed on the donut well while I ate it. The cinnamon roll had a generous amount of cinnamon and maintained a consistent flavor throughout. The coffee was hot and fresh, with a pleasant mild to medium roast that held its taste over time. It also stayed hot for a long time thanks to the insulated cup sleeves provided. The menu offered a variety of other options as well. Overall, this establishment seems well-managed and is sure to satisfy anyone who visits, whether they are passing through or making a special trip.

Winchell's is amazing. I'm from California where they have a ton of great donut shops. When I moved to Colorado I was disappointed in the lack of great donuts. I was so happy to discover a Winchell's! I've eaten here since I was a kid. They not only have donuts but bagels, burritos and breakfast sandwiches
