Bread & Chocolate - Auroville

I will go out on a limb and say it - they have the best croissants that I have tasted in India. Golden brown, big, crispy outside and fluffy throughout inside. However, they don't bake them everyday so you have to be lucky!Overall excellent and we kept going back here for all the three days that we were in Auroville. Their tartines, bowls and quiches were very good. Lots of vegan options. We also bought their chocolate bars and granola - looking forward to eating them.They cook with very select produce and they do run out of items on the menu. They are quite open about this and there is no expectation gap in my opinion.I found the staff helpful - we were a group of 6 and on a busy day, they made efforts to get us a table and make sure that we did not go without food.Cannot miss at least once in Auroville.

I know I would raise lot of eyebrows rating this place low, but it deserves no better. The food was mediocre and serving staff snotty. The ambience is nice and it offers wider variety of vegan/vegetarian options. I dont think I will visit again, though you may try it once.

Amazing food!!! Bread, Chocolates, Breakfast bowls, Sandwiches, Ice Cream, Smoothies, Teas and Coffee, all beautifully done with pure deliciousness! Ive visited here many times with friends over the months and I am always pleased with whatever delight I find myself trying. The Sourdough bread is some of the best Ive ever had. And vegan options, plentiful, and some of the best in Auroville. Not to mention some extremely delicious vegan chocolate ice cream! Its a place you SHOULD DEFINITELY PUT ON YOUR LIST to visit atleast once on your trip to Auroville, especially if youre limited on time. Cant pass this place up. Pure LoVe!

Wow. This place has some seriously incredible food at a pretty reasonable price. More so the dishes were innovative and I literally couldn't stop ordering...is 4 mains too much ????? Looking forward to coming back (make sure you get the tofu scramble ????????) ❤️ x

I loved it at BREAD & CHOCOLATE. The aroma of Black Coffee hits you the moment you step into the joint and it is so refreshing. I enjoyed their Sandwich and Black Coffee. They serve Egg less Cakes as well. Lovely Place and Unusual Sandwiches. The Guys who own the place are very friendly and warm, happened to meet one of them. Go there Hungry and with Plenty of Time. They CLOSE at 5 pm.
