Feedback gevenOn Christmas day when we traveled through the city, we came to Christmas dinner. they apologised for a reduced staff and also offered a minimal menu. Luckily everything we ordered was very good. I had the texas baby gem caesar with the top sirloin, very tasty. my man liked ricotta meatballs and our son loved the 50/50 burger.
We didn't eat here. we have made a reservation on the basis of the menu (small teller) and the 5-star reviews on yelp. Unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. it is located in a residence inn on the national road of I-35. when we arrived, there was no one who greeted us at 7 o'clock on a Saturday night. we sat, but a server never came to our table. there was a loud group of predators who watch sport, and the entire ambiente was blah. we went and went somewhere else.
Everything about our meal was quite unacceptable. we hoped for a beautiful, relaxing Italian meal. instead, while he seemed like a nice guy, our waiter was completely untrained. he really didn't know how to serve people, let alone eating casual in a marriott. we didn't blame him for being a management problem. we were not really greeted, had to turn around the loud music down, the bottle wein (which I had to pour myself) was opened at the bar and put on the table, glassware was boring and stained, the calamari was terrible, it took forever to the brisket rigatoni (dry, cooked away) and huhn parmesan (actually not bad,) were not offered. my sense is that the waiter could become a more attentive waiter if someone just trained him right or trained him at all. poor child. he tried, but no warning, and it was an expensive meal. as Marriott members for several decades, although not staying in the hotel (we live on site,) my wife and I both were embarrassing that such a premium brand could run such a terrible restaurant. we have tried to hope for a beautiful meal. it was unforgettable, but not because it was a good experience. marriott management must repair or sell the franchise sale. it is far below standard. will not be back.

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful staff-attentive. Customized my meal due to allergies. Homemade pasta on site, light sauce not too heavy and perfect shrimp, not over cooked. Good selection on the menu.
