The sweet potato bowl was good, but it could have used a little extra something, perhaps some kale or a similar ingredient. Overall, I would definitely order it again. My boyfriend also liked the veggie grilled cheese. However, I found the coffee and green tea to be a bit disappointing for a tea house. I prefer my tea strong, and theirs was a bit weak for my taste. I personally enjoy sencha green tea, but that's just my preference. I would definitely return! It’s a lovely spot for a healthy weekend breakfast.
I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls; they are the best you’ll find within a 50-mile radius. The atmosphere can get quite loud, especially during lunch hours. As for parking, there’s limited space right against the building, but there’s plenty of parking available nearby.
Great location, clean environment, and friendly staff. The food was decent, but we made the mistake of ordering coffee at the “Tea Exchange.” Unfortunately, the coffee wasn't that good.
As someone who prefers sweeter drinks, it's often hard for me to find low carb options that work for my dietary restrictions, but the staff here were incredibly helpful and accommodating.I ordered an Americano with half half and sugar free vanilla, but the barista went above and beyond to create a relatively sweet yet low carb drink that was close to a cappuccino. While I'm not entirely sure if it was exactly what I ordered or some unique creation because they worked some magic to accommodate my dietary restrictions, it tasted absolutely delicious. I really appreciated their willingness to take the time to create a special drink just for me.One thing to note is that they don't offer any sugar free milk options or heavy cream (or maybe just didn't have any at the time? ?? . Even the almond milk had added sugar. However, the half half worked great for my order and I was impressed by the quality of the coffee (but I’m no coffee connoisseur . They also didn't have many sugar free flavor options. The atmosphere of the shop was delightful it was warm and welcoming, with plenty of seating and a cozy ambiance.Although I didn't have any food during my visit, the options sounded tasty and the staff was more than willing to make adjustments to accommodate any dietary restrictions. They definitely spent quite a bit of time with me at the counter, patiently answering my questions about the sugar and carb count of their drinks and food items!Overall, I highly recommend Austin Tea Xchange. With low carb menu and drink options and staff that are willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, this cafe truly stands out.Wheelchair accessibility: We had someone with us who needs additional assistance/accomodations, not necessarily in a wheelchair, but the ramp was accessible and spacing inside was easy to maneuver.Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating and want to work with you to meet your dietary needs, so just ask!
I love this place. Their bowls are delicious. Their patio is nice and quaint.I knocked down a star because the last few times I’ve had to get take out and plastic bowls and plastic wear was used. Please consider switching to compostable containers and utensils. It’s much healthier for people not to eat out of plastic and it helps our environment.Thank you for your consideration and providing great food In the area.
