We came here for the Rugby match and the TV outside was playing football. This is the World Cup finals. The staff said they couldn’t change the outside TV but the manager Eric came out and out the game on. Thank you Eric. You made our day. This bar is an amazing place. 10/10 would recommend.
Usually pretty busy and finding parking can be a pain but service is fast and friendly. Drinks and food are good. They have live music on occasion. More of a sports bar than an Irish pub at times. But the whiskey selection is good (for Austin area) and they have black and white pudding!
The food was amazing, great spot in the mueller area. They have a wide selection of beers on tap. The interior is so pretty, loved it. Our server Zachary was alright. He said the appetizers were half off, but failed to explain which ones. I ordered an appetizer right after he said half off and when the bill comes along and i ask why I didn’t receive the discount for the app, he goes, “oh yea, not that one.”He was good at remembering an order without writing it down, but that’s pretty much it. Our celery never arrived at the table, and after checking in once, he disappeared. We noticed how the table next to us received wayyy better service than we did, disappointing experience. He brought over the check after we had finished our meal, and forget to ever come back. After 10-15 minutes we decided to leave cash instead of waiting for him to take our card and left.Parking: They have a parking garage.
Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. Service is so slow; we only got one drink from our order (about 45 mins of waiting) before things kicked off that prompted me to write this review. The owner (I’m assuming he is the owner) very aggressively came up to me, got in my face and yelled, get your dog out of here (she is a trained service dog and is allowed to be with me in establishments but he didn’t even give me a chance to explain that to him). To his aggressive behavior, I put my hand up towards him and said, please don’t get in my face. He backed up and condescendingly said “calm down sweetheart”. With that short interaction, I realized that he wasn’t going to be rational at all with my dogs licensing so we chose to leave, as he continued to mumble nonsense about the situation. The imitation, tacky Irish aesthetic mixed with a hostile owner really makes this place a sad representation of an Irish pub (coming from somebody who is married to an Irish citizen)Spend your money elsewhere where you’ll be met with more hospitality that an Irish pub should give
