Central Market - Austin

Always a great experience! They offer a selection of seasonal specials that change several times a year, and those are consistently the best dishes. They're unique and creative, standing out from the regular menu.

I typically have positive experiences at Central Market and their café, but today was a different story. I decided to buy a prepared meal and went for the meatloaf. I picked one up and it felt light, so I tried another one, which felt heavier. To confirm my suspicions, I checked the weights. It turns out that neither meal was the correct weight. One weighed 0.94 pounds, while the other was 1.105 pounds. They are supposed to weigh a total of 1 pound and 3.75 ounces, which is approximately 1.23 pounds. When you take the weight of the container into account, the total is actually less than expected.

I've been a fan of this place for years, but it consistently falls short in terms of cleanliness. The café, deck, and especially the restrooms are often dirty. Central Market, please make cleanliness a priority!

Some of my earliest memories of being out of the house is from this Central Market. My parents, uncle, cousin, and oldest siblings worked here over 20 years ago and I remember walking around the store, chilling in the employee break room, passing bythe massage chair by stairs, eating by play ground. All good, happy memories. I will never not recommend anyone go here andenjoy the atmosphere, food, and overall all the amazing things CM has in store. I love coming here

The playground is great for kids and there's quite a bit of shade and space. The food is okay but not great and a little expensive for what you get. They try to make it fancier than what it is. The portions are good and some of it usually ends up inthe garbage because you really don't want it as a left over.
