Eastside Tavern - Austin

We enjoyed our experience, but found it difficult to conduct a conversation between the 5 of us, although close together. it was very loud, and we all had to scream to conduct a conversation with two of us who had a difficult time to hear.

Brisket was excellent. the spice/bottle on the fryed was really good; even later, when I had eaten a bit cold, the atmosphere was loud, but not too overwhelming. it looked like they had some good weekly specials, and it would be a nice place to catch a game and have some beers with friends. service was fast and friendly.

On Sunday afternoon a short tos. cool vibe, large upper deck outside terrace. great idea to rent the top deck for a party. Eating was innovatiw and good. must try the Frito Pie.

We sat on the dachdeck, which was nice since the weather was nice. nothing else was nice to this place. it took a long time for someone to order our drinks and then for 20 minutes to our drinks. we ordered a skinny vodka and a painkiller. also not great. when our queso came out, it was cold and had one skin like it was long. the rest of the food we ordered was unexcepted. the service as the worst part. I guess our waitress was super suspended or she hates her job, but she was unfriendly, not helpful and slow.

Food was delicious and the brunch drink specials were very good. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They had great outdoor seating, but could use more umbrellas because it was very hot when we went.
