Mandola's Italian - Austin

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's the best Italian food I've had since arriving in Austin! I'll be returning tomorrow to sample more items from the menu! Food: 5/5

The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. The Scampi special and Carnivore Pizza were both exquisite, leaving my taste buds thoroughly satisfied with their authentic flavors that truly embodied Italian cuisine. However, I found the ordering process to be somewhat inconvenient. Having to line up to place my order at the register and pay upfront before being served disrupted the flow of the dining experience. Additionally, the practice of tipping before we even received our service felt a bit strange and out of place. The lack of table service was another disappointment. Fetching my own drinks, silverware, and to-go containers detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable meal. I also felt a bit rushed towards the end when the staff began clearing our table while we were still in the midst of conversation. In summary, while Mandola's Italian Kitchen boasts delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, the ordering system, absence of table service, and the hurried feeling I experienced were significant drawbacks. Although the flavors were impressive, these aspects left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. That said, I can see why it's a favored choice for catering events, like my friend's upcoming wedding, and I believe it could become an exceptional dining establishment with some improvements in its service model.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant, and I had the pleasure of being attended by Luccia Gabrielle, a wonderful person who ensures that everything you experience here is spectacular. The ice cream guy is fantastic, and the girl with the focaccias is really lovely—just ask her if you want more focaccia! The Italian food is divine and takes me back to my grandmother's kitchen. They sell their own olive oil, ice creams, balsamic vinegar, and homemade pasta. And the shrimp scampi? Mamma Mia! I would absolutely return without hesitation every time I visit Austin. I highly recommend it—thank you so much for everything!

The Italian restaurant is a completely different atmosphere than any other. Here at this restaurant you grab a menu on the side of the wine bar and stand in line to order. Yes stand in line to order. Once you order your food they give you a number to put on your table. If you get there with a couple of people it’s best to have them go find a table , because it’s first come first serve. They will bring you your food to your table, and their service is fast. They have gelato, pastries , and more, they have draft beers , and more. I recommend. Mind you I did drive from San Antonio to Austin. Very reasonable
