Maudie's Hacienda - Austin

During my time living in the South, I visited this restaurant frequently. The food is consistently excellent, and their happy hour is fantastic! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Mexican Delight. This is my go-to dish every time I visit Maudie's. Here's the routine: as soon as you place your order, the crispy beef taco arrives in no time. Don't just pick it up to eat — crush it up and mix it with the avocado salad and tomatoes. Then, load a big chip with salsa and dig in! By the time you finish that, your main meal will be served. I always choose to have my enchiladas made with stewed ground beef, but I recommend trying that or opting for one cheese and one beef. The ground beef here is incredibly flavorful, and the taste of the enchiladas is outstanding. Thank you, Maudie's, for so many wonderful meals!

Great local neighborhood TexMex venue. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and good food. Have eaten here many times and it's one of my favorites.

I actually had a pretty miserable experience last time i was there, even though we normally love Maudies. But it was me. I was in extreme dental pain. Everything seemed wrong. The booth they gave us was sunken in and uncomfortable. My tortilla soup was overloaded with jalapenos. Our server was super sweet though. She tried to soothe my misery. I think we prefer Maudies Too. Smaller and homier.
