Maudie's North Lamar - Austin

The food is good, fresh and well made. The price is right, but more importantly, the staff is great. You feel like home. The reposado is amazing.

I was a long-term customer at this point and never had a bad experience with the food or the staff here. The food is always fresh and tasty, they are always accommodating, and is the only restaurant that I will specifically drive all the way from the Freedom Hill to order the Kaldo. The Queso is also pleasant, with a very low heat, but never slander. I always had an excellent service here, and even if there are occasional language barriers with my children, they leave each time happy.

Food was great. The majority of waiting staff was great. Only complaint is that they will cut you off after 2 drinks if you order a complete meal. It is understandable that you have to eat, but they do not consider appetizers as part of what was kind of weird.

Some friends came together for lunch, the food was delicious, the service was great. We stay there much longer than planned, but they didn't refute that. Definitely a way back.

I like this location. The food always comes out quick and the service is good. The servings are huge! My go-to is the strait plate enchiladas. I always leave satisfied.
