This bar is fantastic, offering an excellent selection of cocktails and whiskeys. The bartenders, Joey and Dan, are friendly and knowledgeable, ready to answer any questions you might have. I particularly loved the Irish coffee—both frozen and liquid—as well as the Blue Hawaiian! If you're a whiskey enthusiast, I highly recommend trying the single barrel selections, priced at around $6 for a 1oz pour. Plus, don't miss out on Wednesdays when you can enjoy 25% off 2oz pours!

Recommended by a friend, Nickel City quickly became my favorite spot for weeknight drinks during my last trip to Austin. It was definitely worth the walk from my downtown hotel (even though I ended up a bit worse for wear and had to take an Uber back). With no gimmicks, affordable yet strong drinks, and a friendly bartender, it has everything I look for in a bar. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Large dive bar with exquisite cocktails and extensive selection of spirits. You have some excellent Bourbon selections for this inconceivable joint. Tiki cocktails were great, and the food options offer delicious classics such as hot dogs, sliders and onion rings to name some.
