Plaza Colombian Coffee - Austin

Good morning! I stumbled upon this wonderful little hidden Central American gem on Congress while looking for a coffee, and I'm so glad I did. To keep it brief, if you're in Texas and want to savor authentic Colombian flavors, this is the place to be. It's best to experience it for yourself—Darrin's favorites are a must-try!

We sat in the outdoor area, which has a beach vibe with cabanas and a tiki bar, along with sand to enhance the beach feel. This spacious outdoor area provides plenty of shade and a lovely natural setting. Something amusing happened this morning; I watched a seagull tear apart some fake cotton from the Halloween decorations, and I just hope it doesn’t try to eat it! As for the food, it was incredible! We ordered arepas with perico, beef empanadas, pan de bono, pan de yuca, lulo in milk juice, and tinto (Colombian-style coffee). Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Cute coffee shop with great coffee. We got the Sweet Bee and an Americano which were both good and not too sweet. The next visit we got a drip coffee, macchiato, and breakfast arepa. Everything was delicious. The cafe was also nicely decorated.

I've never been to Colombia, but my best friend is Colombiana, and she has cooked for me. The food appears to be very authentic! Super tasty, reasonably priced, and the cold brew coffee was delicious!It was hard for me to keep my feet still, as they had set the mood with great music. I hope to visit Colombia with my bestie some day, but for now, I enjoyed Plaza Colombian Coffee!Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs, which kind of surprised me, but it was great because I had my 6 month old with me.

Beautiful patio, great food that I've never had befoe, like Colombian empanadas, and creative tropical drinks. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Only negative was, when the band was on break the filter music was so loud that everybody left the patio.
