The Hightower - Austin

I had an amazing time at this restaurant with delicious food and drinks. I will definitely be returning soon!

Brussels Sprouts with peanut sauce: 5 (and I don't really care for brussels sprouts) Green beans with candied pecans: 4 Hanger steak: 5 (probably the best main entrée we had) Pork jowl: 5 (enjoyed the Asian pho style serving) Waitress: 5 (attentive and quick service) Atmosphere: 4 (the Austin hipster vibe that is kind of unique in a city that prides itself in being unique) Air Conditioning: 1 (unfortunately sweating throughout my meal wasn't exactly contributing to the overall experience) Overall food and service was great, but with the air conditioning (or lack thereof) was so bad that I can't give a 5 to a place where I had to change out my shirt afterwards for sweating throughout dinner.

Food and service were great but not was REALLY loud

Great food, chill vibe, wonderful patio, and great signature cocktails. Went during Austin Restaurant Weeks and tried that menu so not sure if the dishes are regular offerings but their gnocchi was on point and their cabbage and brussel sprout salads were to die for. Most of the food here is small bites with a few full entree plates. So if you are interested in a hearty meal be prepared to order different things to try and fill you up. So great! Highly recommend this East Austin spot. Oh and they have ample FREE parking which is rare in this town the closer you are to downtown.

What a wonderful time celebrating our oldest daughter's Grad School Graduation! Food and Service were unique, authentic, and wonderful! Something for everyone! Hope to be back soon.
