We spent a week of skiing in Vernay, hotel-restaurant, half board and we are delighted, accommodation and food: the rooms are clean, quiet and sufficiently large; the welcome of the boss more than friendly. In addition, the hotel is literally at the foot of the cross-country ski slopes. As for the restaurant, if breakfast is classic and copied, in the evening, the dear is made by a real artist who knows how to handle the different flavors with imagination and skill. We didn't even expect dinners of such great quality that would have their place in bcp of hupped establishments! The service is insured with a smile allied to efficiency and competence. In short, an excellent stay and thanks to Vernay.
We wanted to put this opinion on the beautiful website of the hotel/restaurant Le Vernay but we did not find this possibility so we know about Tripadvisor. We ate Noel's meal on the site and confirmed by phone a few days before our arrival. What a mistake! We were very disappointed in several aspects. The busy entrance that was served to us, was not at all good temperature and so cold that the hard foie gras had no taste in fact if, the taste of the fridge. The main dish very good but once again served cold in the heart of the meat and on a cold dish, at the temperature of a refrigerator exit again. The Tiramisu desserts very good and with the apple pie good but served cold and hot according to the part you used. The service really to review, server that seemed not to want to be there too much. If we don't want to open to Noel then it would be better to stay closed. Really disappointed, we do not recommend the restaurant of this establishment.
