Bluewater Avalon

Overall, this restaurant is fantastic. It is situated in downtown Avalon, with a large outdoor area overlooking the water. The appetizers were all delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. However, the two fish dishes we ordered for our main course were a bit dry, not as fresh as we had hoped. It seems like they were left in the oven for a little too long. Despite this, we were able to secure a table outside without a prior reservation around 2 pm. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return. The location and view are absolutely wonderful.

Nothing short of perfection. Cocktails are delicious. The mojito and coconut margarita are so sweet and refreshing. We split the fish and chips and were amazed. The batter is light, the fish is flaky, the fries and both crispy yet soft, and the tartar sauce had the right mixture to not be too pickly. Can't get this smile of my face! This is heaven!

This is a wonderful lunch destination on a beautiful Catalina Island Day! Fresh and flaky bread with butter was bomb! I highly recommend getting the oysters to start. The sauces provided perfectly pair with the delicious and fresh oysters! I also had the blackened shrimp tacos and left satisfied without feeling too heavy or full. I noticed many people ordered fish and chips which seems like a solid option. Pro Tip: sit on the deck with an ocean view!

This restaurant is stunning both inside and out. You can enjoy a view of the ocean while dining on the deck. The food was decent, although I may have preferred something else. My fish, scalloped potatoes, and spinach were tasty! The spinach dip was just alright. Both my husband and I found the chips to be too hard and not enjoyable. However, the staff was friendly and I would give them 4 stars overall.

The food portions were pretty small, and very pricey. Their fish is mostly dry but flavorful. They have my daughter dirty utensils and when she asked for a new set, they forgot. Overall, just an average tourist restaurant.
