Just to get rid of my hunger, we started looking out for cafes. Came across this blue painted building and stepped into it. The place was nicely decorated and maintained. We orders for rice paper roll, grilled haloumi and veg stack. Don't judge me by the quantity of food. I was starving!! Rice paper rolls were highly priced and not upto the level. Both other dishes were outstanding. Loved them!! Service and ambience were pretty good too.Service 4/5Food 4/5Ambience 4/5Value for Money 3/5
Pulled pork burger is nice, but the meat is too hard, it was fried for too long. It also has too much mayo or whatever sauce. The breakfast wrap is tasty. It would be nice if they can have more choices on the menu.
A community minded, healthy cafe. Wise Foods Cafe was a quiet breath of fresh air from the nightclubs and overpriced touristy eateries in Terrigal where we stayed. My Himalayan Caramel vegan smoothie had a fairly standard and winning combination of banana, dates and coconut milk, but was elevated to something special with the addition of Himalayan salt and cashews. It was like having a huge dessert for breakfast. I have definitely have a savoury-tooth so was glad to go halvies with Beardy on a zesty “If You Like Pina Coladas” vegan smoothie – hello pineapple and fresh lime. Where’s my rum? When my actual breakfast, a coconut chia pudding arrived, I was kind of full. I did my best to at least eat my way down to that gorgeous looking layer of raspberry goo. I’ve tried a couple of coconut chia things for breakfast before and they tend to be plain and all one texture. This one was lifted a little by the slight tartness of the raspberry jam-like layer. But I’d prefer less coconut chia, more fruit and perhaps some nuts for crunch.
AMAZING gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options for a great price. The smoothies/smoothie bowls here are to die for, great combinations and perfect serving size. Raw cakes are available as well as a great selections of cold pressed and fresh juices from their fridge. Highly recommend Wise Foods if you are a conscious eater and love healthy eating!
