Mariachi's Mexican Food - Avondale

The food is fantastic, and the portion sizes are generous. The pricing matches both the quality and the quantity. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving Mexican food. They serve menudo on the weekends, which is amazing, but make sure to arrive early because it sells out quickly. Overall, I give the food a 5/5!

The food here is consistently amazing! I usually order the breakfast burrito, and it's fantastic. My only concern is that the prices posted online are outdated, as well as the prices on the take-home menu during my visit. However, the food is definitely worth the price, which is around $8. The Drive Thru is incredibly unappetizing, which should have been my first warning sign. I ordered the carne asada burrito, and while it was loaded with meat, the flavor was reminiscent of dirt and char. About halfway through, I had to pause, take a break, and ultimately ended up vomiting the entire burrito. So, if you enjoy that sort of experience, go for it, I suppose.

This restaurant is fantastic! The Mexican food is excellent. My wife and I have visited multiple times, and each occasion has been a wonderful dining experience. Food rating: 5/5.

To my shock, I discovered that between lunch and 5 PM, the price had skyrocketed to $6.35 for a single taco! I double-checked with the cashier, who went to the back to confirm, and indeed, the price had just been raised. I couldn’t believe it—a mini taco increasing from $2.25 to $6.35 in just a few hours! While some restaurants have different pricing for happy hour or dinner, $6.35 for one mini street taco seems excessive. Unfortunately, if this is how much their prices are going up, I won’t be returning, despite how much I enjoy their food. I did manage to get a refund for the mini tacos I ordered. I had only planned to take home four. I ended up ordering eight chicken tacos at $1.75 each, along with a pint of rice and a pint of beans at $2.75 each. The food is still great, but I recommend verifying their prices first since they seem to change rapidly. I’m giving this review 2 stars because I really think the food is tasty. Otherwise, my experience today feels more like a 1-star situation.
