The service was good and the ambiente good, but eating was not hot and the teller were cold.

We were not warned before that a work was held in the same room. about a hundred people to fit with a noise level. the people are constantly putting their drinks on our table, etc. if it was not for the fact that we had previously “paid” for our meals through a “Gourmet Guide” brochure, we would have gone out directly. the manager gave us a free bottle of wine at the end as a peace offer, but the whole was completely unacceptable. our last trip to the ice house. richard smith

After we booked a table in the restaurant, we were disappointed to find out that it was closed for a high time so that we were given a table in the bar. there was a limited choice on the menu for two non-meat eaters and one of us had cauliflower cheese that was so runny it was like suppe. when we mentioned this to the waitress, it seemed completely uninterested. the roasted sandwich was not really roasted. all in all it was a very disappointing experience.

Very pleased we found the pheasant at wookey it was exactly what we were after. there was a misunderstanding about the booking, but that was not a problem and quickly sorted out. we had a nice meal in a great pub. the icing on the cake was the renter who had a fudge cake with a candle and sang happy birthday when he delivered it. fantastic. highly recommended.

Room 1 decor was a little tired. Some of the restaurant and bar seating was worn and grubby. Having saying that, the staff were great. Good music played in bar restaurant areas. Good pub grub menu. Nice ‘dog friendly’ hotel and restaurant.
