In the evening the building is illuminated by the Lampions and is a magical attraction, so we decided to return here once. Numerous signs before and on the windows show various offers and lunch menus. There are two giant lions in front of the guest garden. When you come by these, it goes up above a staircase to the restaurant area. Here's a lot to see. Chinese ornaments, fonts, fantasies, lamps, pictures, flowers and orchids decorate the premises. There is also a Koi aquarium. Dark furniture, small divided seating groups invite you to a cozy stay. The tables have a bright red tablecloth, white or yellow middle blankets, and there are also small decks and yellow napkins. A colourful mixture. Two rechauds on each table and a spice massager are ready. Service We were allowed to choose our own table. The little service, in street clothes, came to our table with serious misery. Then everything went functional. The Rechaud were illuminated and at the same time the drinks and the food were taken up. A visual contact was not even sought. The dishes were built and our two newly ordered drinks were forgotten. Also a new order from the cook (recognizable on dirty clothes do not fertilize. It remained with a drink for each of us until the end, because if we want to restart an order attempt, this was interpreted as a payment request. Food The menu runs around 150 Chinese and Thai dishes. Soups, appetizers, pork, chicken meat, duck, fish rice, noodles and vegetable dishes. Lunch menus are available from 5,50€ with Beijing soup or spring roll. We chose the menus baked duck with Thai curry and vegetables in coconut milk, sharp (7.70 € and the crispy duck on fried noodles with vegetables (7.90 €). Cleaner yes - but sharp?. Similar to the spring roller. This was a crispy dough bag with vegetables instead of a roll. We expect the two ducks now. The plates were preheated. Again we were disappointed. Not sharp Thai Curry, just a light ginger note. The ducks are small and with fat content. It was nothing with the baked pasta and rice. There was another dessert from the house. Cubed apples, pineapples and oranges were served in a silver dish. The oranges were very badly filled, the orange skin was bitter and the fruit salad was without juice and starch. Conclusion: disappointment, but due to its central location, still well visited restaurant.
Everything looks a little old and unclean. The traces of former guests are still to be found on the tablecloth and the artificial flowers have not been dedusted long. The food was on average to deteriorate. Lauwarmer rice and dry duck without sauce.
