The hotel is located at an angle to Bad Oeynhausener Train Station. We went to the pedestrian zone in the city centre for five minutes. We had booked the rooms in advance via a hotel booking portal. Breakfast is charged with 15 euros per person. Once we open it, we booked it on arrival. It wasn't a problem. In the other nights we left it. Under the hotel, located in a new building from the 1990s, there is a underground garage with 14 additional rooms for the guests of the Mercure Hotel. There is an elevator that leads directly to the reception. The underground garage is operated by the municipal works of Bad Oeynhausen. The holidays are parked there for free. Once we drove on Ascension Day and needed nothing to pay. Otherwise we paid 12 euros per day for the parking lot. The hotel has 57 rooms, 40 non-smoking rooms. Our rooms were very spacious, with many storage areas. The mattresses are medium, quite backward friendly. A large bathroom. We had asked each time for a smoker room with two single beds; this wish was fulfilled. From the room that was to the yard and was nicely quiet, a band led to the Eskade outside. So I could banish the smoker from the room outside the door. The breakfast buffet was extensive. As usual with Mercure there was scrambled eggs, fried bacon and sausages. In addition, various roles, cold cuts, yogurt, muesli and even Schokopudding. We pointed out the staff, again the trainee collective, that the bacon was short and no sausages left. After a short time, two bowls were placed on the table, well filled with sausage and bacon. Nervig found one thing: the breakfast buffet and the tables for breakfast were in two separate, adjacent rooms. There was no connecting door, we had to run over the corridor. The hotel has no restaurant, a small bar next to the reception. The beer prices in the hotel bar were average and acceptable. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed, served (bar, breakfast) and approved. And we have a good tip from the staff where we can eat in the evening. Reception is open 24 hours. The hotel has a sauna. We didn't use them for time. We found a Finnish sauna, with a beautiful, spacious relaxation area with benches of mosaic stones and foot basins. She wasn't in operation. In addition to the breakfast room we found a PC with free internet access. Payable Wi-Fi can be booked for its room at the reception. The hotel has meeting rooms. food can be served for conference participants if necessary; in the rooms where breakfast is in the morning. We enjoyed it during all stays at the hotel. We can recommend it.
