Beautiful restaurant, beautiful service they have beer, food wine, whatever refreshment you may desire. Staff or wonderful.
Visited in 2013 during festival time and all the serving staff were dressed in traditional costume with fox tails dangling from their waists. It was dreadful weather and we ate fantastic food inside the charming alpine style restaurant. This year I was determined to go back. It was a sunny day and we sat outside. A noisy group of 15, they immediately put together 2 tables so we could all sit together. Full of locals having lunch was a good sign. I had a delicious sandwich of local black bread, char grilled vegetables and cheese. The Grostl (ham, eggs and potatoes) was truly magnificent local air dried ham, sunny yellow fried eggs and crispy potatoes. All against the backdrop of the Dolomite mountains, snowy slopes and almost blue sky with good friends, what more could you ask for!
We really enjoyed our visit the food was very tasty, fresh, right portions for a skiing lunch. The drinks were also good. The place itself looks nice and inviting, we could catch some sun on the terrace. It was not crowded, despite high season. The service was polite and fast. Fair prices. We would be happy to come back, it was one of our best restaurant visits in the region :
Nice friendly bar at the bottom of the Sponata area just above the chairlift. Good for a mid-morning or apres-ski drink if you are staying in the area e.g.Badia. We didn't try the food but it looked good. When you leave make sure you get on the right lift as they are side-by-side and go to quite diferent places.
This place offers great food, we have a great polenta with cheese, sausage and mushrooms. Nothing bad to say. maybe it's a little bit expensive but totally worth it!
