Ella Rocks Facility - Badulla

We took a cooking class on a rainy day in Ella and it was a great experience! Lank taught us how to cook their traditional food in the most authentic way. We cook 5 dishes, with fresh vegetables and herbs and the final result was excellent. Can only recommend these cooking cures to everyone.

We had a nice trip to a waterfall - what an amazing experience! Guide (Sorry, I don't know how to write your name! is a beautiful gentleman, we felt comfortable and how on a walk with a friend. We discussed all kinds of topics, from cooking to poetry, and he showed us the herbs and plants of the jungle and even advise us how to use them. When we got into the waterfall, he didn't rush us, but let's take us as long as we wanted. That was by far my favorite experience in Sri Lanka and I wish we had time to make the cooking class. I warmly recommend the experience!

We had an excellent class and dinner at Lank's cooking school. It is a fantastic instructor and host that gives a lot of background on ingredients, dishes, as well as Sri Lankan and Ayurvedic cuisine. You shouldn't leave Ella without visiting him. It is a little hidden, but you will find a place with a beautiful view. Make sure to start registering 2-3 hours before class as they go to the market to get fresh products for you. The class usually starts at 5:00.

Very brilliant cooking class. The host is great in English, so it is very clear what you need to do and why. The attitude is also cool, and you also learn about the tragedies. We enjoyed it very much! Recommended if you are in Ella!
