The Arches - Baile chlair

I ordered the taco beef for starters but it was served cold and tasted more like tinned stew beef than taco beef. The steak sandwich for mains was not hot and the meat was very tough, making it seem like a cheap minute steak. The only good thing was the beer. The food was served too quickly and was cold. The staff were friendly, but the food was terrible.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic, especially the fish and chips and stir fry. When we arrived around noon, it wasn't very crowded, making for a very relaxing experience. The chairs were comfortable and the area where we were seated had lovely décor. The staff was incredibly attentive, regularly refilling our water without us even needing to ask. Overall, they were just really nice people.

The Arches Hotel is a fantastic choice for a family dinner with friends and children, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere. In comparison, the Claregalway Hotel lacks hospitality skills and fails to make guests feel welcome. I would definitely recommend the Arches Hotel over the Claregalway Hotel. However, it is important to note that the food at the Arches Hotel can be inconsistent - delicious on some days, but not so great on others. Also, there is a female waitress who tends to stand and stare down at the table, which can be uncomfortable despite her attempts to be attentive.

We had lunch here today. It was very quite when we came for lunch. We waited 20 minutes and they forgot our chips. We were only people there. Had a club sandwich which was not a club sandwich but just a sandwich really thrown together. My wife had a wrap which had the wrong cheese unlike what was on the menu. It also had southern fried goujons but no mention of goujons on the menu. Our waitress was nice but kept checking back with us but too much. You need to get the chefs making a club sandwich properly and to familiarise themselves with there menu.

Well our family went out to dinner in this restaurant. We haven’t seen each other since before Christmas because of Covid and so “Yes “ we decided to go out for dinner . A group of eight . 5 adults 3 children. We were all so excited to be going out together. On first glance all was fine , menu looked nice . We ordered . We were served by a long haired man who might I add kept playing with it or fixing it . It should have been tied up ! Okay to the food . Starters came out . 5 starters for adults, out of this two of them (Soup and Vol au vent were nice . Three were wings . These were over cooked and lacked the sauce flavour. The mains . Kids were fine ! The adults . Well that was a different story we got reheated chips which was issue with two plates . A turkey dinner which was definitely below par . The last thing I got was a curry . It was very watery and it lacked flavour, curry flavour!! My curry is far better and that says something!! Easiest way to put it 3 out of five starters were over cooked ! 4 out of five mains were reheats or bland !! Definitely so disappointed
