Unfortunately, they don't offer cans to go, which makes the trip for a pint feel like a special occasion. There are some great options here, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a brewery. They have a strong selection of rotating taps and the service is excellent. I'm glad I had the chance to visit.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The chicharrones were outstanding—a solid 10/10—flavorful and perfectly crunchy. The giant soft pretzel also received a 10/10 rating. However, the crispy Brussels sprouts fell short at a 5/10; they were served whole and lacked the crispiness I was hoping for—they were more firm than crunchy and doused in sauce. The beer-battered artichoke hearts were decent, earning a 7/10—they were above average but not quite as tempting as the chicharrones. The Southwest chicken salad also scored a 5/10; it had an abundance of chicken but not enough lettuce, which might be great for those craving more protein, but I found myself wanting more greens. I heard similar feedback regarding the apple chicken salad. Lettuce is inexpensive, so I think they should increase that proportion. Additionally, the salad lacked sufficient dressing, with just a small cup provided. The classic Temblor signature beef burger was another 5/10. It was a thick burger stuffed with pickles and onions, and while it had some sauce, I still found it a bit dry. The fries, however, were quite good. Overall, I’d recommend visiting for the beer and chicharrones, but you might want to plan to have your dinner elsewhere.
During my visit to Bakersfield, CA, I stumbled upon this brewery situated at 4200 Buck Owen's Blvd. Although it was a bit loud, the atmosphere is welcoming for all ages. I had a delightful beer flight along with some delicious food.
We had a great time here! The drinks were great, I had an IPA which I thought was delicious. We ordered a few appetizers including the nachos which were a bit lackluster (they only had onions and jalapeños which is pretty sad for nachos lol) but everything else was awesome. We loved the pretzel and the mustard that went along was amazing! I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was great. Others in our party had a beef sandwich, burger, meal nachos (which were much more loaded than the appetizer nachos), and brat. The food was ready quickly. There was a small line to order but we didn't have to wait too long. The brewery is beautiful and you can see some of the equipment inside the dining area. Everything is wooden with some modern touches. Overall we loved our experience and will return if we are ever in the area.
Best IPA I've had in my entire beer drinking experience. Thank you to our tender Michael for looking out for us. The kitchen closed early and after a long day of traveling he recommended local eats. Don't miss this stop if you love a good beer.
