I visited here again in August 2021 and they have increased the number of vegan options compared to a couple of years ago. Service was very friendly although the server was a bit confused about vegan. This time I got soup and salads and both were very good. Updated from previous review on 2021-08-26
They have a vegetarian section in the main menu and a separate menu for vegan food, on which they have 2 starters (on of which is the soup of the day), 3 or 4 mains and an apple crumble for desert. The food was good (we took a soup and a burger). Recommended if you're in the area and looking for a dinner.
Had dinner with my husband here, me opting for soup while he chose a burger. The place was quite crowded but the food was filling and decent, and I particularly enjoyed the day 's ginger and sweet potato soup. The burger was 'ok I guess ' according to my husband, but he was pleased enough with it as it filled him. A remote location with no chance to reserve a table, so we were lucky to secure one upon entering. A good option if you need nourishment, but not a place to seek experiences from.
We spent about 48 hours in this area and this Inn had the most vegan food variety of any place we ate, and you don't have to be staying overnight to eat there. The chili was legitimately spicy (a good thing for us! , and there was even a vegan dessert item though it was sold out by the time we got there. This would be our first stop if/when we return to this beautiful part of the Highlands.
