Friendly, access off the art gallery, delicious home made sweets and savories with lots to choose from. the spelt loaf is a winner as is the Burned Basque cheesecake. A must!
Stopped while doing the Lydiard Steet walk. Coffee was excellent. Should have tried the cakes. Lots of kitch food items on sale.
On a quiet, hot Sunday in Ballarat we had a cool lunch at this cafe. Good coffee and lovely homemade food. We had stuffed mushroom with salad, and chicken tart with salad. The food is much more interesting than these brief descriptions. The salad was full of grains, pumpkin, and other interesting goodies. The chicken tart had mushrooms, and was beautifully fresh and tasty. The cafe also sells local produce, and foodie gifts.
We stopped here for a quick lunch and loved this little café. It is decked out in old world style and the food is home made with healthy products sourced from the local area. Would recommend eating here, looking through the gallery and stopping to check out the gallery shop for some interesting souvenirs. We tried the home-made chicken, mushroom and leek pie with a delicious quinoa salad of roasted vegies. Coffees were delicious too. Make it a stop on your way between Adelaide and Melbourne.
