Munch & Lunch - BALLARAT CENTRAL

This is a very welcoming cafe. Wonderful friendly staff, excellent service and extremely tasty food for the family - at very reasonable prices. Best chips and gravy ever eaten - kids response, succulent steak sandwiches, best chicken Parma roll dad had ever tasted, mum had the chicken Caesar salad, (yum) and they have the best coffee and scones in town. We would recommend this cafe to anyone!

I absolutely love this place.. The chicken caesar salad is to die for and they make the yummiest fresh salad sandwiches.. The ladies behind the counter are a breath of fresh air.. will most definitely be coming back over and over!

Munch &Lunch is a working man’s local lunch place. Mair Street leads towards the railway station is Munch & Lunch is virtually the only eating place in that section of the road. It is mainly a sandwich bar with a few pre-cooked meals. All the fried food is overcooked and dry. The pasta dish was tasty but overcooked. I asked for a chicken wrap and got lamb. The lamb was tasty. The drink selection is mainly fizzy drinks with a few fruit drinks. There are a few tables for sit down eating and are quickly taken up with older residents. While Munch & Lunch must fill a gap in the cuisine of Ballarat, it appears to be representative of the level of a number of greasy spoon eating places in the town.

Ok so if you work in the area you'll know this place but for the most part it's easily passed by without even knowing it exists. I've never had a bad experience here and the food is well priced and always delicious. Service is exceptional and I do hear the coffee is fantastic - not that I've tasted coffee ever! Usually a good place for meeting a few people and enjoying a bite to eat and I'd suggest there is plenty of room if you're driving a pram etc. You'll enjoy what they have to offer I'm sure!

This little cafe is a great little spot for lunch or coffee. When I went there the staff were good the food is great value for money. I will be heading back again
