However, after driving 45 minutes back home, I was disappointed by the flavors. The oxtails had no seasoning at all—tender, but completely lacking in salt or pepper. The jerk chicken tasted more like country-fried chicken with just a hint of spice and was quite bland. The cabbage was soggy, the rice and peas were also mushy, and everything lacked flavor. The mac and cheese, which I only treat myself to once a month, was particularly disappointing—it tasted like boiled noodles with just a sprinkle of cheese, no real flavor whatsoever. I can't help but feel that this place is a soul food restaurant attempting to serve Caribbean dishes that really don’t capture the essence of the cuisine. Maybe I'm just accustomed to authentic Caribbean food. I should have taken a hint when I saw the buffet-style setup without coverings, but I wanted to support a Black-owned business. What happened to the pride in preparing food and running a business? This is the fourth Black-owned food establishment I've visited in Baltimore, and I haven’t been pleased with the taste or preparation at any of them. After this experience, I doubt I will try dining out in Baltimore again. This place has sealed that decision for me.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. I’ll definitely be returning as a regular customer. Please note that it is primarily a carryout place, not a dine-in restaurant.

This review is quite overdue. I visited the restaurant on Saturday, October 1, 2022, after not being in that area for many years. I assume the food was either really good or I arrived too late because many of the menu items I asked about were unavailable. I got there just a few minutes before 4 PM. I ultimately ordered sides of macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes. I had made a stop before entering, but my food was still hot thanks to the excellent packaging. I would definitely go back to try more dishes. What I ordered was satisfying and tasty.

My husband went to purchase food the customer service he received was very poor. He wasn't satisfied with his meal the owner said no refund nor could he exchange the food for something else.. It was his 1st time trying this restaurant we won't be returning or recommending! people spend their money should be allowed to exchange or get their money back if not satisfied! it's food .. not everybody will like what you serve it's bad business to just dismiss a customers needs like that..

The owner is kind and trust the workers. He's informative and captures his outlook on life. The food is good menu food is made to order the buffet food is hot and ready. They them out the owner always like feed backs from the people.
