Checkerspot Brewing Company - Baltimore

Great beer, cool space, chill vibe, wonderful people! Visited on a Tuesday night, and it immediately felt like I was a local. In the couple hours I was there, the crowd grew from a few quiet conversations to different groups of people mingling and drawing me, a solo traveler, in to feel at home. The beers are a little hop heavy at times, but well made with a thoughtful and inspired lineup.

Great beer in a really nice location. We were fans before the move and have to say this is a great move! First time in they were playing my favorite music tyler and sturgill and the bartender was very friendly, They have a great starter pinball lineup ? and skeeball too. I could see ifpa league nights happening here if they expand. Very nice! Cheers.

We only get into Baltimore once a year or so, but when we're there we always try to squeeze in a visit to Checkerspot (and have been doing so since we originally found them in 2018). They always have a great selection of beer on tap, whatever you may prefer (personally, their imperials, stouts, brown ales and the rare paw paw-based are my absolute faves). This past week was the first time we've been to their new location, and we must say that it is quite nice and we had a good time (and again) some excellent beer!

The new, more open space may allow more patrons, but the echoing high ceilings make conversations difficult when busy. Noise absorbing materials would help. The beer is still good.
