The crabcakes here are absolutely the best! The drinks are great too. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the service is fantastic. You should definitely visit at least once; after that, you’ll be hooked!
I can see why tourists might not venture out of the harbor for crab cakes, but for the rest of you? Get in your car (or call an Uber). This place is located in the heart of Lauraville, and it's definitely worth the trip—take a stroll down the block to Maggie's for a cocktail afterward. Clearly, others feel the same way; it was a Wednesday evening, and this spot was bustling. I managed to snag a few seats at the bar for us.
I have to admit that I can be a bit hard to satisfy when it comes to dining out. However, my wife and I decided to try something new and visited Koco's. I'm happy to say that our experience exceeded our expectations. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. It was truly a delightful experience! And just a heads up—they serve the best crab cake I've ever had.
If you truly don't mind the small pub atmosphere and your meal on actual paper plates, then you will really enjoy the crab cakes. Which this place is known for. The crab cakes were the size of a softball and more importantly, not loaded with fillers like bread or crackers. It was truly worth the money. The service could be better, but overall it's a nice place.
