Worth getting a roll or two but I recommend exploring some of the other options too. Restaurant is a bit narrow on the first floor due to the sushi bar, which is somewhat cluttered. The upstairs is more open but the decor is lacking and there's no view. Service is terrific. Staff is fast and polite. They are clearly focused on take out orders but still make a strong effort to attend to the in person guests. They open at 4:30pm and even on Mondays, so sometimes they are just the default for an early evening, early week, sushi dinner. Don't go out of your way to dine in, but definitely check them out for takeout. Good place if you're ordering for a group with some people who don't want sushi but prefer a soup, rice or noodle dish instead.
The Seafood Fried Rice was fantastic. I ordered a custom World Cup roll based on the owner's suggestion, which featured tuna and avocado wrapped around salmon. They also customized the Rocky Mountain Roll for us, replacing the deep-fried crab with lump crab instead. The service was excellent.
During my recent trip to Baltimore, I was searching for a place to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant. Walking in turned out to be one of the best decisions I made that day! They really know what they're doing, and I will definitely be returning. If you're a fan of sashimi and sushi and find yourself in Baltimore, you should definitely give this place a try!
What a charming little Japanese restaurant! It has an authentic vibe, even though it's not run by Japanese owners. The sushi, sashimi, and tako salad were incredibly fresh. The teriyaki and curry dishes were also quite delicious. My favorite was the uni quail egg. The sake was a bit on the pricey side, but they do offer a selection of sake cocktails. The service was attentive as well. Keep in mind that street parking fills up quickly, so I recommend using the nearest garage, which is the West Street Garage.
The place is really tiny- 3 tables and no bar seating. It?s very tricky to make your way in and out even to the restrooms because of the space. The food is ok- pricier than other sushi places of the same rank. No draft beer and a very limited selection of drinks in general. Service was barely ok.
