It’s home style cooking that looks good tastes good and is inexpensive Pad Thai was 90bht. Small beer or fresh coconut juice 60bht . This is definitely 5-star for me. Family drove into Cape Panwa on curiosity, wanted to just eat something light, but ended up ordering the whole lot and finishing every morsel. Great taste! Staff was very friendly and the lady taking our order spoke great English. A surprise find...
Great food and service! Everyone is really nice and welcoming. The papaya salad is amazing if you like a bit of spicy food. Even they showed us a fresh papaya from the tree next to the place : Kapunkap!
My husband, the person who wrote the previous review for Ba'an Rao, and I came here for 4 meals in 4 days for both the delicious dishes and the hospitality. For the first two meals here, we ordered and re-ordered steamed fish with lime and grilled beef salad. They were so tasty! Fish was very fresh and with on point cooking: beef salad is very refreshing and I suggest you order a steamed rice to eat with the sauce. You could ask chef to adjust the spiciness for you but if you could take some spice, get them at medium spicy, the spiciness is addictive. We originally planned to do a fancy dinner in resort last night but we ended up having a big lunch here and returned for supper at night (pictures posted below) because we missed the food. Chef shared some off the menu dishes with us. We loved the food and we appreciate this a lot. Coming more than two times and the friendly people here would treat you as a regular. I would highly recommend Ba'an Rao. If I'm coming back to Phuket, Ba'an Rao is on my check list.
Came to Phuket for the fancy schmancy resorts but fell in love with this restaurant instead. The food here is absolutely delicious. If you want authentic Thai spice and flavour you'll get it here. If you can't handle spice they can tone it down for you. Rather than pay for overpriced resort food that's mediocre, we went to eat here everyday instead. The staff speak English and the friendliest out of all the other spots we checked out. A warm welcoming community vibe that makes you feel like one of their own. We couldn't handle the spice (our own fault) and they offered to go down the street to buy us Thai milk tea. True Thai hospitality! Highly recommended! If you don't come here you're missing out!
