Alberta Wing Shack - Banff

This was our first visit to The Wing Shack, and we ordered four different types of wings. The wings were large, crispy, juicy, and the flavors were fantastic! I highly recommend giving this place a try. The price of $11.99 for a pound of wings is also very reasonable.

A true local hidden gem! We discovered this fantastic wing joint and can't recommend it highly enough. They offer an impressive selection of 69 flavors, ranging from classic to unique options. We tried the Banff, Montreal-Canadian, and honey garlic wings, and we were absolutely blown away. We’ve never experienced fried wings and fries like these before. The balance of crispiness and sauce on these wings is exceptional. My personal favorite is the Banff, which features a butter chicken sauce topped with pineapple. The Montreal-Canadian has a delightful maple sweetness with a spicy kick. You can really tell that the sauces are made in-house and perfected over time. Every order is prepared fresh and served hot. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and while you enjoy your meal, you get a fantastic view of Kaskadenberg. The best part? The prices are excellent, offering great value that makes the trip from the city center worthwhile. I would rate this a perfect 10/10 and can’t wait to return—I only wish I had found it earlier in my trip!

As for the chicken wings, they offer an impressive 69 different flavors (you can choose one flavor per pound of wings). We opted for the Montreal Canadiens sauce, which tasted like a mix of honey garlic, maple syrup, and Sriracha, giving it a sweet and spicy profile. I’ve never been a fan of chicken wings because I always thought they were overrated, but these were HUGE, FRIED, and SO TASTY. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Banff who enjoys roasted chicken. It's certainly the best we've ever had, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff at checkout was also very friendly, which made the entire experience perfect. We will definitely return the next time we visit Banff!

Wonderful service and food. The owner was so friendly and gave us some good tips for our further stay in Banff. The burger is the best in town, no doubt.

(Banff Location) Great wings that are all equal parts tasty, crispy, crunchy, juicy and all for great prices, considering most Banff restaurants are more pricey. For sure recommend taking a chance on the local wings/fan favorites, as they have some unique and savory flavors. I had the Montreal Canadien wings which were sweet and spicy. The taste brings a mix of sweet maple syrup contrasted with a low to mild spice. The chicken burger is decently large, with a juicy crunch for every bite (and nice Swiss cheese). All the fries are good too ! Parking is quite easy, as you can park either right in front of the store or just on the street beside/across from it, then just walk over. It's a quiet area to enjoy good without all the of the crowding of main parts of the Banff tourist area. The owner is very kind and attentive to making sure customer's needs are met. If you're coming through Banff, try this out to change up from some of pricey restaurants and still get some good eats !
