El Toro - Banff

3 of us had breakfast at El toro ,recommended by the neighbouring hotel while we were looking for a good place . the lady who served us was really polite and patience while we were ordering. within 15minutes she served and it was delicious .More

We used the restaurant for breakfast twice. We went at 0700 opening, staff were friendly and good menu choice. Staff understood that one of our party was coeliac and took appropriate measures. Good choice - recommended.

We had two breakfasts and they did what they had to. Filled us up! Staff nice and friendly and happy to stand and chat. Food portions maybe on the larger side and a slight struggle to finish but it was all cooked well, especially the detail to the eggs. Noticeable difference between soft and medium. A good way to start the day. We did not eat in the evening but each time we walked past it was packed out.Normal breakfast stuff, cereals, tea, coffee, juices, eggs bene, pancakes, fry up, bacon

This place is a must go! I went here with my boyfriend for date night and it's great! Great food and even better service. My server tash was super friendly and the tapas amazing. My only regret was not having more of an empty stomach. If i get the chance to come back i'm going to try the chateaubriand. Saw the couple sitting across from us have it and it looks amazing. Carved right at the table too.

Stumbled upon this place after walking by. Ended up coming here twice because we couldn't decide whether we wanted to share tapas or have a main each. The first time we went we had a range of tapas to share. Amongst our favourite - the stuffed mushrooms, the prawns and the scallop dish. Choosing individually and sharing was a great way of trying out most of the menu choices. Shared the baileys cheese cake for dessert - a perfect way to end since it was not too heavy.Our second night we had a main each. I had the braised lamb which was so moist and packed with so much flavour whilst my friend had the fajitas which was huge! Everything that came with the fajitas also looked so fresh. We couldn't help ourselves and went with our servers recommendation - banana flambe for dessert which was done right in front of us at the table by our server. It was great!If you are near, make sure you pop in. The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful and very very attentive. I can not wait for my next visit!
