Fairmount Market - Bangor

I’ve been visiting Fairmount Market with my parents since I was 10 years old to grab sandwiches, and it remains one of my top lunch spots in Bangor. They offer enormous salads, fried chicken, a variety of side dishes like bean salad, and large subs—all at very reasonable prices. It’s definitely a fantastic place to eat!

This place offers some of the best subs I've ever had. I eat here frequently. I haven't tried the chicken salad yet, but the roasted chicken is fantastic. They have the only sauce worth having for a great sandwich, especially now that the coffee pot is no longer available.

I've heard so much praise about the chicken at this restaurant, so I decided to give it another try. A while back, I found it to be just okay, but I thought I’d give it another chance. Last week, I ordered a chicken BTL, and it was quite disappointing. The roll was a bit stale, the chicken lacked flavor and was tough to chew. The bacon was decent in taste, but it was so fatty that it was difficult to chew, almost like bubblegum. The salad was just the white part, and the tomatoes were mushy. Overall, everything tasted bland and was hard to swallow. I ended up only eating half before I gave up. I left feeling really let down.

I have been going to Fairmount Market since I was 10yrs old with my parents to pickup sandwiches. This one of my top sandwich places in Bangor for lunch. They have huge salads, fried chicken, lots of sides (like the bean salad) and great subs at low cost. Definitely a great spot.
