We also opted for a salad bowl with avocado, but were disappointed to find only a few pieces of avocado included. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere and views were excellent.
The owner of this restaurant is extremely friendly and welcoming. They even shared some sun-dried bananas with me as a snack. I was impressed to learn that they make their tofu from scratch, and it is not store-bought. The cashews in the dishes tasted fresh and sweet. The restaurant has a garden where they grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, and the rice they use comes from the province where they are located. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, as well as local dishes that are prepared with a clear understanding of what it means to be vegan. I was delighted to discover this gem in Ratanakiri. The tableware is simple and affordable, but the food is delicious. I especially enjoyed their tofu. If you are in the area, be sure to visit this restaurant. It is located on a quiet street, offering peaceful views. I am confident that they have the best views in town, making it a great spot to watch the sunset.
I have visited Cafe Alee multiple times and have never been disappointed. The café has a lovely atmosphere with scenic views overlooking a wooded valley. They truly understand veganism and offer creative interpretations of traditional Khmer cuisine, as well as veggie burgers, pizzas, and other Western dishes. Some dishes use coconut milk instead of regular milk, for which there is a small additional charge, but the reasoning behind it is clear. The restaurant avoids using MSG. The herbal curry can be made with or without tofu, the Tofu Laklak is flavorful, and the Tofu Amok provides a delicious vegan twist on a classic Khmer dish. I usually opt for the Khmer dishes for their light and refreshing taste, but I also enjoyed the Mung-Bohnen-Aggie-Burger which was satisfying. They offer a variety of coffees, including locally sourced coffee, as well as fresh juices. I recommend trying their Ratanakiri tea, a blend of ginger, lemon grass, and turmeric. They also serve a tasty breakfast and bake their own bread daily. The service is laid-back yet friendly.

Owner is super nice friendly, makes them feel welcome that they have made sun-dried bananen for snack that he just shared with me. also learned, they make their tofu from scratches it is not gmo grow roast cashews (taste fresh sweet) etc. they have a garden that will be the intention of where they grow various fruits vegetables themselves. reis comes from the province where they are located. they have many vegetarian vegan options to choose in the menu, fortunately many local dishes, also and really know the meaning of word vegan. so happy I found this place in ratanakiri! schirr are not expensive and are simple but tasty. has loved her tofu! if they happen to be banished, they visit her. the hotel is located on quite quiet street, so they can enjoy peacefully the view.
