Orient Resraurabt - Banora Point

We were recommended this place by friends however were hesitant after reading all the bad reviews. Unfortunately we have to agree with the majority. This food is average to say the least, crunchy tasteless rice, sizzling plate that didn't sizzle and bland boring flavours on the garlic chicken. On a positive our staff were friendly and I really enjoyed my chicken and corn soup, although hubby didn't like his.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us and we're glad they did. The service was friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food was very tasty.We enjoyed the Pork but the Sizzling Chicken was beautiful. One tip - ask to sit away from the window. Those tables are a bit too cozy and close together for me.

We went for dinner, very regretful. Calamari was most likely out of a generic frozen packet and deep fried. We both ordered a different style of fish dish. They were both in the same slimey jelly like sauce. I wasn't brave enough to eat it as it had an old texture and taste. So I picked out the vegetables from the slime! Was very disappointed, the restaurant has a nice decor and atmosphere but this is all.

3 of us came to dine, based on a good report from 1. Seated and menued OK, after a brief wait, but things turned from there. Chicken and Sweetcorn soup was slopped over the table with no apology or attempt to clean it up, and the ladies found their soups to be cold. It took some time before our waiter could be summoned to take them back. Meanwhile I continued to me more and more disappointed with the less than hot, soggy with oil, entree` plate items. All seemed to have been around for a while, except for the dim sims, that were very pink inside. I consumed these in the hope that things would get better. They did not! The soups never arrived back and I decided we would eat elsewhere. Whilst waiting an inordinate amount of time to settle the bill at the front desk, we were then accused of consuming all the courses we had ordered. At this point I noticed our soups being delivered back to our table. Though offering to pay for the awful entree plate, we did eventually escape the abusive lady at no cost!Please note though, this is a franchise within Twin Towns, and not a reflection of the excellent bar service we received!

Chinese rest at twin towns club just lovely. very efficient staff pretty quick service. some of the dishes are to die for. anyone goes try the duck in peking sauce. or the duck omelete . honey king prawns arenice but pretty sweet. going back in oct so will be looking forward to it
