Bank House - Bantry

Though just a 15minute boat trip from Bantry, it's a place apart. From the moment you step on board the ferry and greeted by Tim, one feels as though your about to go on an adventure. The Ladies in the Bank House (Kathleen and co) are so very friendly and super cooks and bar people serving delicious meals and creamy pints. Highly recommended.

This pub on the Island is definitely worth a visit. It's a great spot to enjoy a sunny day outdoors with a beautiful view. They offer a variety of drinks, from coffee and tea to something stronger, and their food options are tasty and straightforward. I particularly enjoyed the Crab dish. The staff were all cheerful and welcoming.

Tim and especially Kathleen are brilliant hosts. A big gang of lunatics arrived by raft, kayak, rib and armband today and had a blast. The food is fab and Kathleen treats everyone like royalty. We’ll be back tomorrow for more awesome food and drinks.

The boat to the island was very nice, it was also very cheap, plenty of trips and no need to worry about missing boats as there was a boat every hour. The people in the pub were very friendly, the menu was small, but the food we got was great, we ate outside in the sun and it was absolutely lovely. We also rented bikes from the pub. A bike is the only way to see the island properly, its a very long walk otherwise. I will definitely be going back there again.

A magic ferry trip to a magic place of peace and tranquilty the food was lovely and fresh and the drink was good as well would highly recomend it if you are in Bantry and feel like doing something different you wont be dissapointed.Allso there are some lovely walks with fantastic views to enjoy,Tim and Kathleen are like a breath of fresh air.
