I shared the bread and when we broke the bread ,we discovered what looked like cobwebs growing inside !!! The main reason why I 'm writing this review is not to complain about the food ,when I went to pay for the drinks ,I found our waitress in tears ,I have worked with this young lady before ,she 's a lovely girl and a super worker ,but because we complained ,some bully in the kitchen took it out on her !Absolutely shocking treatment of staff Couldn 't recommend this place !!
I stayed at the restaurant for one night and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the room was very comfortable.
We recently stayed two nights in the Beara Coast hotel, Castletownbere. The grounds are plain on the outside but really clean and modern on the inside. We had a friendly and speedy check-in. Our room had an amazing view of the harbour. Staff were local so gave us lots of local information and they could not do enough for us. The food is excellent and we want to mention the fabulous sea food chowder. The most delicious breakfast we have ever eaten in a hotel. The library is a little gem with a bit of paradise. We walked around the village and had a drink in McCarthy’s Bar. The Dursey island cable car is a must but Councillors take note the access road badly needs widening. This is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a stunning location.
We had a three night stay in the beara coast hotel recently. Hosts Bernie and Nabil were so accomodating and friendly. Nabil is the also the chef!! 10 out of 10 Nabil. Food fab. Rooms very comfy and clean. Staff were extremely helpful in general. Bere island on the doorstep and Allihies. So beautiful. Thankyou . We had a wonderful time would strongly recomend staying in the Beara Coast. We'll be back!!!. Fiona and Mairead
Newly re opened so, some beginners hiccups.Breakfast was a disappointment both mornings. Cold toast, poor full irish, burned pancakes, no syrup or lemon a bare (could hardly taste) drizzle of honey.Poached eggs were nice. No pastries or scones or home made breads.Did have a nice deep fried brie for lunch.Great location, nice room with a view.Dogs allowed fantastic.
