Da Mario - Barano d'ischia

We payed 20 Euro for four sunbeds with umbrellas for one day; monday. Great beach. Great waves. We ate lunch at the restaurant for less than 20 Euro. Great service. Nice staff.

We 've passed Da Mario, a small, simple structure on Maronti Beach, each time I 've been to the nearby Hotel Vittotio 4 times in 3 years. We normally eat at the excellent hotel restaurant. So when it came to picking a place off campus, I asked the staff at the hotel. This was Serena 's immediate reply. What to get? 'Any fish. ' So I tried the classic linguine with frutti de Mari, my husband 's favourite. I was alone, on a very quiet, post weekend Monday night. While they cooked my meal, I was given complimentary thr best grilled garlic bread I 've ever eaten. Then, I had asked for the insalata mista, mixed salad, expecting a few leaves. See photos for the dinner sized plate, perfectly and simply dressed. It was do beautiful fresh and delicious, I knew if I finished it I would be too full for my pasta. For 4 euros for the salad, and 12 for the seafood pasta, my husband and I could have split dinner and still have more than our normal meal. Instead, I ate every last bit. I felt like, these creatures were living in the sea outside my open window, that same afternoon while I swam, and it was so expertly and lovingly cooked, it would be wrong not to eat, and enjoy, every last bit. Can 't wait to go back. Take my husband, or friends, but especially, the luxury of eating alone, and walking home to my hotel along the boardwalk, was just magic. Incredible Italian seafood, reasonably priced, made with love, served with crisp pink linens and flowers: come for a romantic date, order some of their selection of wines or prossecco, come with a group, families, in flip flops and wet swimsuits, or give yourself a real treat and try it alone, like I did, on a week night, for the ultimate beach seafood experience.

More than ten years of visiting this quite and simple place: food is always excellent, they cook on your order whatever they have on the day. The place is clean, service is kind and nice. Price is on the cheap side for a fish dinner just on the beach
