It was my husband and I but we ordered so many things because we just couldn’t believe EVERYTHING tasted this good. I’ll include videos. For appetizers, we tried the croquettes (mushroom and the stewed ones) and they were both outstanding but that Galician stewed croquette was literally magical. The blackberry mojito…*chef’s kiss* . We also ordered seafood paella and cleared the pan and then we had dessert- the cheesecake and sponge cake. Both were perfection. Oh yeah- we had the octopus for appetizer. It was so flavorful but the texture on a few was too soft for me. Hubby was able to eat it just fine. This restaurant is 10/5! Don’t miss out.
I am disappointed with the quality of food at Louro, which really surprised me as it had lots of reviews with nothing but good things to say. I had the pork ribs, which were very tender but had no flavour and a flavour less peanut sauce on top? Very small side came with it. I was hoping to get a lovely dinner but was very disappointed. I really enjoyed the blackberry mojito which others mentioned in their reviews and a really nice dessert. I also heard the couple next to me complain that their lobster paella wasn't great and the lobster itself had a very small amount of meat, which the waitress was very courteous and offered dessert which was declined. Just to top it off, this place is difficult to find and I've posted some pictures to help others out of what it looks like as it's not a shop front on the ground level, but a level or two up after walking into a plaza/lobby. Wouldn't recommend or come back unfortunately, unless it's for dessert and a mojito.
Simply amazing. A little hard to find and they did not pick up the phone easily. Everything we tasted was really unique. Really good and polite service. Totally worth it, can't wait to come again.
Food was delicious and wholesome! The sangria was incredible and a must-try. I felt that the food was fresh and the presentation of each dish created a unique dining experience. We did feel the staff were a bit closed off and sometimes it was difficult to get their attention. The English menu also had some wrong translations so it was hard to fully understand what was in each dish. Overall, a great Barcelona restaurant!
Galician dinner at La Rambla… Very interesting indeed. Must try the Burata, Lobster Paella, Octopus and Croquettes.
