The Wok - Barcelona

A group of 8 of us (all girls) ate here on a Friday evening. The waitress was plain rude. She brought all food bar my sisters and when we asked about where it was she shouted at us, 'it 's coming ' as if we were naughty children. When it didn 't arrive five minutes later, we asked again politely and she shouted at us again. When it did arrive, there was no apology and the food was shoved at my sister! When the bill came she was much the same and came to collect our payment as we were leaving and rather than let us pass her she stood in our way to grab what I assume she thought was a tip, rather than politely say thank you and let us leave the table.

My husband, daughter I went to The Wok while in Barcelona. We choose this restaurant because we had grown tired of the typical Spanish food: tapas, paella, etc wanted something different. The Wok is on the port side next to Maremagnum, a large mall, so it has a nice view. There was no wait which should have been our red flag but.. we were hungry. The service was poor for the limited number of people that needed to be served. The food was average and very small portions. The view was nice relaxing, so maybe go for a drink or coffee when you are not hungry or in a hurry.

We ate here on our last nice in barcelOna. We choose a mixed platter of starters to share which was absolutely lovely. Well presented and full of flavour. I think the chef then went home as when the mains arrived they had no flavour at all. We ordered a pad Thai which came with sides of coriander chilli and lime. I had to ask for mOre just to add flavour and If I did not think it would have offended the chef I would have asked for more again. There was no seasoning. My partner ordered the bami goreng which was meant to be spicy. His comment 'I 've had hotter kormas '!! Great location but the food really let 's the place down

Very very good food. The restaurant is situated in the Maremagnum center and has a nice quiet terrace. The staff is very nice. Price is absolutely democratic!

Was there with my family when we went to visit the port and mall. Everything we had there was good Asian cuisine and the waitress was lovely. A bonus is that you get the beautiful view of the sea on your left and you can walk off to El Ramblas or even do some shopping! All in all a great experience.
