Biovey - Bardonecchia

You can tell there is a dedicated chef at work here. Local ingredients, thoughtfully put together, minimum of fuss, maximum of flavour. The staff are knowledgable and exceptionally friendly (Antonella moved between French and English once she realised we didn’t speak much Italian). There was not a single dish that disappointed and servings are generous. The dining rooms are very plain, and let the food speak for itself. A special mention needs to be made about the wine list it is unusually comprehensive and priced very reasonably this is not a restaurant that seeks to squeeze every cent of profit. In summary, excellent food, really good service and very good value we booked it again for the next night and brought four more guests.

An excellent dinner experience, with a possibility to choose between traditional dishes and fancier options. The service is friendly and the price very reasonable. The restaurant is co-located with one of the few hotels that preserved the simple, but cozy atmosphere of mountain hospitality from the good old times . Biovey has a very clever menu system with a long list of dishes out of which a rotating daily selection is on offer. If you are in Bardonecchia for a week, you can come twice, or wait for the evening when your favourite dish is listed.

This restaurant is to be found inside the Villa Myosotis hotel and is definitely worth a visit. Home made pasta, well prepared food, hot serving plates, good wine list and friendly service. The Michelin inspector has said ' simply and good meal ' and we would agree. It certainly was the best meal we had while staying in Bardonecchia. (Staying in the hotel is good value, clean and to be recommended). They also have a takeway shop nearby.

Refined cuisine, simple but special menu

I am Italian and I was in Bardonecchia for the first time this weekend. None of my friends could recommend a very good restaurant in town so I turned to tripadvisor, and lucky that I followed the instinct. Biovey is a small cozy traditional restaurant which will delight you. It will delight you with an amazing selection of typical food (only tasting menus available at around 30€ and will delight you with a wine selection at very reasonable prices (ex. Barolo Prunotto 2008 at 32€ . The service is a bit slow, but forget about it and let the selection of dishes take you through a delightful gastronomic journey. If I come back to Bardonecchia, the main reason will be to have dinner in this place. The location is cozy and somewhat elegant, good for a romantic dinner as well as a family dinner.
